Apple orchard in the village of Pattale, about 25 km as the crow flies from Chepel. The approximately 10,000 apple trees in Pattale come from the same supplier as those for Chepel. The various orchards have been successfully managed for nearly 10 years and have already served as a training site for the six participating parties/families from Chepel. In the pictures, you can see Pemba Sherpa from Chepel explaining to Isabelle Buschulte exactly when and how the shoots need to be pruned.
Fun fact – Pemba has already climbed 12/14 8000 summits, amongst others 6 times the Everest.
